NATURE Bay of Tivat Has a New Resident

A shell that makes pearls arrived in Adriatic Sea with ballast water of cruise ships. 

In the Bay of Tivat and Marine Porto Montenegro, scientist have found a species of shelves that are not characteristic for of the Adriatic, reports vijesti.me reports.

They have found Melibe viridis, Pinctada radiata, Paraleucilla magna as well as crabs Callinctes sapidus and Farfantepeneus aztecus. These species are common in Indian and Atlantic Ocean.  

The face no obstacles in reproduction in a new environment and scientist say none of them will cause problems to existing species and ecosystem.
