ACCOMMODATION Dubrovnik Continues To Hold the Highest Numbers in Tourism

Private accommodation welcomes more tourists than hotels but all are missing work force. 

A professional group of hoteliers of Dubrovnik within Croatian Chamber of Commerce presented business results for 2016.

Number of overnight stays and arrivals of tourists in 2016 in Dubrovnik Neretva County is 11 per cent higher than in 2015. City of Dubrovnik had 13 per cent more overnight stays and 11 per cent more arrivals. Also, municipality Župa Dubrovačka had 12 per cent more overnight stays and 22 per cent more arrivals than previous year.

Number of accommodation units increased for 12 per cent in comparison to 2015 or to be more precise there are 9.313 new beds in the County out of which 8.555 in private accommodation and 206 new beds in hotels.

Dubrovnik had 3.371.075 overnight stays, more than any other destination in Croatia. Rovinj in Istria had 3.329.703 and the capital 2.016.107 hold second and third position.
