Whether you choose to find and prepare them by yourself or gave a nice asparagus meal in a restaurant March and April are ideal for this healthy vegetable. 

Asparagus in Dubrovnik Neretva County and Croatia in general are slightly thinner from planted asparagus but closeness to the sea gives them the perfects flavour. 

They have been used as a vegetable and medicine (diuretic) by Egyptians, Greeks and Romans.
